Their dream day has arrived! After Zach Nichols and Jenna Compono had to postpone their nuptials amid the coronavirus pandemic, they were finally able to celebrate with family and friends as originally planned.
“She loved me so much, she married me twice,” Nichols, 34, said in an Instagram Story video on Saturday, April 2, alongside his wife, 29.
The couple first married in March 2021 in an intimate ceremony in Michigan.
“We decided to have a personal mini wedding with just our immediate family in MI ❤️“, wrote the couple via Instagram at the time. “Our big one will be April 2, 2022 in New York! 😝.”
The duo, who got engaged in December 2019 after dating for two years, had postponed their original wedding plans amid the global pandemic.
“With everything going on, we didn’t want anyone to feel pressured or worried about attending our wedding,” Compono said exclusively. We Weekly in December 2020. “It’s supposed to be a party. We have so many friends and family, it was impossible for everyone to feel comfortable and we didn’t want people to have to make the decision to come or not. We have decided to postpone until 2022, when hopefully things will be better by then.
She continued at the time, “It was a really tough decision. I’ve finalized so many things with my planner, Kristin Buonaiuto, and I’m crossing my fingers that it all wraps up soon. But I think we took it. the right decision. I also want to send positive vibes to all my other brides, because it’s really hard to go through!
During the special day on Saturday, the couple documented their church ceremony and lively party on their respective social media accounts. After their sweet ceremony, the Challenge the elders danced with loved ones on a party bus that took them to the venue. Once they arrived at the reception, the couple danced again under neon lights that read “Mr. and Mrs. Nichols” before sampling an eight-tier wedding cake and ice cream.
“Tomorrow Jenna will marry the man of her dreams…again. (Just kidding, I’m the lucky one),” Nichols previously said via instagram Friday, April 1.
The newlyweds first met while filming The challenge: the battle of the exes 2 before they start dating. After a brief split in 2016, they reunited in May 2018, a year before getting engaged. Nichols and Compono announced in February 2021 that they were expecting their first child. (Son Anthony was born in September 2021.)
“Happy Valentine’s Day! Gave Jenna some love and she gives me a family,” the Michigan native wrote via Instagram at the time, alongside ultrasound photos. never been so excited. August couldn’t come soon enough…because that’s when Jenna will officially be a MILF.
